How to get it
- 1.
Register through an MSSC-authorized assessment center at a school, workforce center, or employer program — or complete MSSC's self-paced e-learning first.
- 2.
Work through the CLA course modules: safety, quality practices, workplace and regulatory compliance, supply chain fundamentals, and communication.
- 3.
Schedule the proctored, computer-based CLA exam at your assessment center.
- 4.
Pass the exam to earn the Certified Logistics Associate credential.
- 5.
Advance to the MSSC Certified Logistics Technician (CLT) once you have the CLA — that is the credential that unlocks higher warehouse and logistics pay.
Study tips
- The CLA is the prerequisite for the CLT — plan them as a pair and you can finish both within a few months.
- Spend extra study time on OSHA-style safety and quality-control vocabulary; those topics carry the most weight on the exam.
